Privacy policy

Jawai Booking (jawaibooking.in) is operated from India. This page explains what we collect, why we use it, and your choices—in plain language.

Last updated: April 27, 2026

1. Introduction

We run a website and booking service for safari and hotel experiences in the Jawai region. To confirm bookings, take payments, and support you, we need some personal information.

This policy tells you what we collect, how we use it, who we work with (such as Razorpay and Google), and what rights you have under Indian law. We keep the wording simple on purpose.

2. Information we collect

Depending on what you do on our site, we may collect:

  • Name, phone number, and email address — to identify you and communicate about your booking.
  • Booking details — such as dates, number of guests, package or room type, and special requests you share with us.
  • Payment-related information — when you pay, the transaction is handled by Razorpay. We do not store your full card number, CVV, or other card details. We may see payment status, transaction reference, and amount to confirm your booking.
  • Technical information your browser shares — for example, general device or browser type and security logs, to run the site safely and fix issues.

3. Use of Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to see how people use our website (for example, which pages are visited and how long sessions last). This helps us understand what works and what we should improve.

Google Analytics may set cookies on your device, including cookies such as _ga and _gid, to distinguish visitors and measure usage. Data is used in the aggregate to improve our services. Where Google offers settings that reduce identifiability (for example, IP address handling), we use them in line with Google’s product options.

You can limit analytics cookies through our cookie controls (see below) and your browser settings. Google also provides its own information about how it processes data: Google Privacy Policy.

4. Cookies policy

Cookies are small text files that a website can store on your device. They help the site remember your preferences, keep you secure while logged in, or measure how the site is used.

We use broadly two types:

  • Essential cookies — needed for the site to work, security, and (where applicable) remembering choices like cookie consent.
  • Analytics cookies — help us understand traffic and improve the experience (for example, through Google Analytics).

You can accept or reject non-essential cookies when you first visit, and you can change your mind anytime. Open (also available from the site footer) to allow or withdraw consent for analytics cookies. Blocking some cookies may limit certain features.

5. How we use data

We use the information we collect to:

  • Process and manage your booking — including confirming with partners and sharing necessary details to deliver the service.
  • Customer support — respond to questions, changes, or issues related to your booking.
  • Website improvement — fix bugs, understand how the site is used, and make the experience clearer and more reliable.
  • Legal and security — protect against fraud, misuse, and to meet our legal obligations when required.

6. Third-party services

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as needed to run the service, with service providers that have their own privacy terms:

  • Razorpay — processes payments. They receive payment and card-related data as needed to complete the transaction. Please read Razorpay’s policy for how they handle payment data: razorpay.com/privacy.
  • Google (Analytics) — as described in section 3, for usage statistics to improve the website.

We choose providers that meet reasonable security standards, but you should also review their policies.

7. Data protection (India compliance)

This website is aimed at users in India and is operated in line with applicable Indian laws, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and its rules, as and when they apply to our activities.

We process personal data fairly and for clear purposes, keep it only as long as we need for bookings, support, legal records, and security, and we work to protect it with appropriate safeguards (see section 10). If the law gives you specific rights, we will honour those requests in line with the Act and our operational needs (for example, we may need to keep certain booking records for legal or tax reasons).

8. Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • Access — ask what personal data we hold about you in connection with your use of our service.
  • Correction — ask us to fix inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Deletion — ask us to delete your personal data, subject to legal or legitimate business needs (we may need to keep some records for a period).
  • Withdraw consent — where we rely on consent (for example, for non-essential cookies), you can withdraw it using cookie settings or by contacting us.

For complaints or to exercise these rights, contact us using the details in section 9 and 12. We will respond in line with our commitment below.

9. Grievance officer

In line with the DPDP Act and our commitment to transparency, you can reach our designated contact for privacy-related questions or complaints:

  • Name: Jawai Booking Team
  • Email: admin@jawaibooking.in
  • Response time: we aim to acknowledge and respond to genuine requests within 48 hours (weekdays; complex requests may need a bit more time, and we will tell you if so).

10. Data security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information—for example, secure connections (HTTPS) for our site, access controls for our systems, and payment processing through a recognised provider (Razorpay) instead of storing card data on our own servers.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We work to reduce risk, but you should also use a strong password if you have an account and keep your contact details up to date.

11. Updates to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time—for example, when we add features, change partners, or when the law changes. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top and, if the change is important, we will try to bring it to your attention on the website.

Please review this page occasionally. Using the site after changes means you accept the updated policy (except where the law requires separate steps).
